Star Flyer Accident on Valentine's Day!
Last February 14, 2009, a man fell from the ride Star Flyer of Star City. I just heard this news from my classmates yesterday. They read it from the news paper that a 39 year old man fell from it. My other classmate also saw the news on the TV about it.
We were so shocked because we rode that ride last December when we had a student conference in Pasay, Manila. Its true that the ride is very scary but we were confident that it is safe to ride because harness of the ride’s seats were locked by computerized control.
But poor Lito Pena was declared dead on arrival at the San Juan de Dios Hospital due to his fall from the star flyer. Investigators are still trying to determine the real cause of the accident.

It was in the news last Sunday. Star City's Management said that it was a suicide. Their operating machine's working fine daw.
kung mag open man yung safety lock..lahat mag oopen. The only way para mhulog yung guy e kung lulusot sya s gitna.
I never rode that ride.It scares me.
And sabi nung girl n nag aassist ng mga magri2de, the man asked her daw -MAMAMATAY DAW BA SYA KUNG MAHULOG SYA DUN.
dear lord. i heard this news last night and the investigators said star city was not at fault so it is possible that the guy fell on purpose. even so, the investigators are making recommendations about additional safety belts.
